Kathy qualified as a podiatrist over seven years ago from Plymouth University. She has mainly worked in the NHS. However, after starting a family moved over to the private sector part-time.
She feels lucky to have the best of both worlds - NHS and private practice.
Kathy loves many aspects of the profession of Podiatry. She loves working with people and making a positive difference in their lives. Whether that is relieving pain in patients' feet or simply maintaining patients' good foot-health. She loves building a good raport with her patients, developing relationships of trust and connecting with her patients so to know about them as well as their feet.
Kathy carries out routine podiatry / wound care / nail surgery and basic musculoskeletal podiatry. She loves helping people who are embarrassed about their long thickened nails etc, making them feel & look better.
Nail surgery is Kathy’s passion. She feels very fortunate to be able to perform nail surgery regularly as part of the NHS county-wide team, as well as in private practice, keeping her skills very much up to date.
When Kathy is not being a podiatrist she is a mother to her beautiful daughter and they are both horse mad! Kathy loves to potter about the countryside on four legs! She also has a cat and a dog at home, who are very much part of the family. If you have an appointment with Kathy her pets normally come up in conversation.
Kathy has been working at Cornwall podiatry for three years and feels blessed to be part of a fabulous supported team!
