Megan has been working as a Podiatrist for almost 10 years. She began her career in the NHS as part of a team focusing on the prevention and management of foot complications in high risk patients. This role included provision of routine Podiatry, Biomechanics and wound care, as well as regular Nail Surgery clinics where she developed a high degree of experience in procedures for ingrown toenails.
Inspired by her love of going the extra mile for her patients, Megan decided to make the transition into Private Practice and joined Cornwall Podiatry in 2020. Here she has had additional training in Musculoskeletal Podiatry whilst continuing to offer routine treatments covering all aspects of skin and nail problems from fungal infections to Verrucae. She has continued to undertake regular nail surgery procedures and has discovered a passion for all things surgical, planning to undergo further training in Podiatric skin surgery to further maximise the foot health of her current and future patients.
Megan’s favourite aspect of her work is getting to know her patients while addressing their footcare needs: She loves people, and prides herself on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere in her clinic, approaching all of her patient encounters with empathy and kindness.
Outside of work Megan keeps herself busy by honing her DIY skills alongside her husband where they are slowly fixing up their little cottage together, though she tries not to work too hard and will jump at the opportunity to get outside in the fresh air when the weather allows! When the weather is not so kind she loves nothing more than to curl up and watch a movie or two. She also is very passionate about keeping active so she regularly goes to the gym to keep fit and likes to walk among the many beauty spots Cornwall has to offer.
