Sophie is originally from Manchester, moving to Cornwall five years ago.
She qualified as Podiatrist fourteen years ago, and has gained a wealth of experience since then.
She enjoys all aspects of podiatry, and has continually been rewarded with improving the quality of life of patients who suffer any type of foot pain.
Sophie considers herself very lucky to have worked in NHS high risk foot teams, where she has gained extensive knowledge of complex foot conditions, and their management. She still works for the NHS alongside her work at Cornwall Podiatry. More recently she has taken a specialist role in the NHS in Cornwall as a vascular podiatrist, working to diagnose and manage arterial disease in the lower limb. She is particularly interested in management and treatment of the diabetic foot, and providing education to patients, and other health care professionals on this subject.
She has completed Masters modules in podiatry, and also completed the Royal College of Podiatry advanced vascular assessment course.
She is very passionate about creating preventative treatment plans, with a holistic approach for patients with complex medical conditions.
She enjoys, and has the depth of knowledge to treat any problem in the foot, from thick nails to complex foot disease.
Aside from her busy life as a podiatrist, she lives in Helston, with her husband and two children. She enjoys outdoor pursuits, walking, rowing, kayaking, and swimming in any type of open water she can find.
Having such a love of an active lifestyle herself makes her all the more passionate about keeping people on their feet.
